Body Brave’s treatment groups are led by clinical experts and integrate education, insight development, motivation, and skill-building. All groups are available virtually through Zoom Healthcare and are free or covered by OHIP. Check out their closed and drop-in groups!
This is a free 8 week virtual group for youth 12 to 17 exploring their gender identity and gender expression. Learn about and discuss topics such as: self-care, self-advocacy, media, dysphoria, body image, coming out, gender affirming care and intersectionality. Apply to the group using this link.
This is an 8-week online support group run by the Mental Health Program at Women’s College Hospital. It will take place on a confidential discussion board, giving you the opportunity to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, while learning from and supporting other birthing parent. Each week a new topic will be explored, relating to issues that commonly emerge during the first year of life with a new baby. Register using this link.
Their Virtual Drop-in Peer Support Group is for pregnant people and parents seeking peer support in a group setting around mood and anxiety concerns. This group runs on Mondays at 7:30pm and will run bi-weekly on Zoom. Group will be facilitated by two of our wonderful peer support volunteers. Apply using this registration form.
In the Rooms offers free informational articles about recovery and over 130 weekly online meetings for those recovering from addiction and related issues, that embraces multiple pathways including 12 Step, non-12 Step, agnostic, and wellness and mental health modalities. In addition to live meetings, there is an online support network of other individuals in recovery to help build community and ease feelings of loneliness.
Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour Peer Support Group
This is a free peer support group for individuals identifying as a person of color. This is a respectiful and safe space to discuss mental health challenges, as they relate to the complex identities and experiences of racial minorities in Ontario. The group runs on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 1:00-3:00PM and the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:00-8:50PM. Register using this link.
